Simons Fields At Shortstop

The Pick 6 starts in the third at 13h35

An eight-race programme is scheduled for the Vaal this afternoon.

The main event on the day is Race 4, which is a Merit Rated 93 Handicap for three-year old Fillies.

Chloris from the Mike de Kock stable looks to be a horse on the up and should take a power of beating.

The first race is off at 12h35.

Jimmy The Rich writes Brett Warren sends out Supreme Dance in Race 1. He ran a very good race on debut over 1160m at Turffontein.

He was slow into stride that day, but stayed on well at the business end. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

The son of Futura would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should go one better here. A jockey confirmation is awaited.

Shortstop is the value bet in the last race on the card. He has some decent recent form lines to his credit.

It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He has won twice, finished second twice and third twice from twelve starts over this course and distance.

Randall Simons takes the ride this afternoon and on best form shown, he can get back to winning ways.

The false rail is at zero on the back straight and 3m on the bend with a 4m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h35
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h05
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 13h35
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h05
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 14h45

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
