The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h25

Racing heads to the Vaal for an eight-race programme this afternoon.

S’manga Khumalo has a good book of rides with five decent chances of winning. He has ridden 51 winners this term and has a decent chance of adding to that tally.

The first race is off at 13h10.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Leading Lad from the Alec Laird stable in Race 6 is the best bet on the day. His last three starts have been good.

He raced from a handy position last time and found another kick in the closing stages. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

S’manga Khumalo steps back into the saddle today and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Plum Field who takes her place in Race 4 is currently trading at 7/1 with Hollywoodbets and looks to be decent value.

Her last two starts have been decent. She should have won last time as she had to ease at the 300m mark.

She jumps from pole position today and with a bit of luck in running, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

The inside false rail is at zero on the back straight and 3m on the bend with a 6.5m spur at the 600m mark.

The outside false rail is zero from the 1600m to 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h10
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h50
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h25
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h00
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h30

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
