Jimmy The Rich writes that the powerful yard of Mike de Kock saddles Lilliana in Race 3.

She showed very good improvement against winners in her last start over 1400m at Turffontein.

That was her first start with the blinkers fitted. The daughter of Vercingetorix will love the step up to the mile and she should go one better here.

After saddling two winners at Turffontein on Sunday, Weiho Marwing sends Splash Of Green out in Race 5. She was not disgraced in the Gr1 Thekwini Stakes last time.

She was carried outwards at the 1500m mark that day, raced wide and understandably lacked a finish in the straight.

The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight makes her Handicap debut, but she carries a handy galloping mass of 52.5kgs. She looks to have plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

Lyle Hewitson will not be riding today as he is medically indisposed.

The false rail is 3m on the back straight and 7m on the bend with a 5m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h25
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 14h05
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h45
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h15
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h45

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
