Tarry & Hewitson Should Pay To Follow

Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h40

Turffontein plays host to an eight-race programme on the Inside course this afternoon.

The in-form combination of Sean Tarry and Kuda Insurance-sponsored jockey Lyle Hewitson found the winner’s enclosure on three occasions on Saturday.

They team up on four times this afternoon and should continue their fine run of form.

The first race is due off at 12h55.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Mike and Adam Azzie saddle Southern Song in Race 7. She showed good improvement in her last start over 1400m at the Vaal.

She tried hard all the way to the line that day, but found one too good in the form of Qunetra.

The daughter of Dynasty will love the step up in distance and from her good draw of three, she should be the one to beat.

The combination of Roy Magner and Randall Simons are in a fine run of form and they team up once again in the lucky last race, with Crusade To Royalty.

She ran a good race in her last start when finishing fourth over 1700m at the Vaal.

The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests she will love the step up to the 2000m. The daughter of Crusade looks to be a progressive type and can go close to winning.
