Fourie Is At Fairview Today

The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h30

Fairview Racecourse hosts an eight-race programme on the polytrack today.

Richard Fourie makes his way from the Cape for six rides and he has a few decent chances of winning.

The first race is due off at 12h30.

Jimmy The Rich writes that African Hoopoe from the in-form Alan Greeff stable takes her place in Race 2. She showed very good improvement with the tongue-tie fitted in her first effort on this course.

She was slow into stride, but the manner in which she finished off her race was eye-catching.

The daughter of Global View was reported to be coughing that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging. If jumping on terms, she should give the males a run for their money.

African Hoopoe will run with alumites on the front and remain unshod behind.

Zietsman Oosthuizen saddles Silver Celebrity in the lucky last race. She finished 0.6 lengths behind Reach For The Line last time.

He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He jumps from a good draw of three and may be the one to beat.

Kendall Minnie and Mpumelelo Mjoka will not be riding today with the stipes permission.

The false rail is 3m out at the 421m mark.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
