Tuesday At The Vaal

The first race is due off at 12h55

Eight races are scheduled at the Vaal on the Classic course this afternoon.

Jockey S’manga Khumalo has ridden 48 winners at the Vaal this season at a strike-rate of 21.1%. He has five rides and will be looking to add to that tally today.

The first race is due off at 12h55.

S’manga Khumalo looks to add to his winning tally today.

Mike and Adam Azzie send out Bartholdi in Race 6. He won a very good race in his last start over 1500m on the Turffontein Inside course.

He raced from a handy position and won with a ton in hand.

The son of Act Of War makes his stable debut this afternoon and if settled into his new surroundings, he should take a power of beating.

Barak from the Mike de Kock stable is currently trading at around 11/2 with Hollywoodbets.

His last three starts after returning from a 12-week break have been fair. The son of Master Of My Fate won his only attempt over this course and distance.

He gets the blinkers re-fitted this afternoon which could be the difference. Sherman Brown knows him well and the combination can get back to winning ways.

The false rail is zero on the back straight, 8m on the bend with a 6m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h55
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h30
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h10
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h45
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h20
