Tristan Wages A War Today

First due off @ 12h15

Racing takes place at Hollywoodbets Greyville this afternoon.

An eight-race programme has been carded on the polytrack with the first due off at 12h15.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Alyson Wright sends out Purple Powahouse in Race 2. He finished 2.6 lengths behind Stevie Gee last time.

He is 6kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

Three of his four career victories have come over this course and distance.

With Rachel Venniker taking the ride, the 7yo gelding may be rewarded for consistency.

War Empress from the Louis Goosen stable takes her place in Race 3. She finished 0.5 lengths behind Rapid Fire last time.

She is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

She finished 2.05 lengths behind Kennedy in her penultimate run. She is 3kgs better off at the weights and should turn the form around.

Sporting Post-sponsored jockey Tristan Godden is booked to ride, and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
