Tough For Matterhorn Fans – But Up The Irish!

Drama in Hollywoodbets Greyville sixth

Happy Hollywoodbets customers enjoyed some welcome relief when all straight win bets taken on demoted odds-on favourite Matterhorn  were refunded after the consistent son of Marchfield was relegated to second after winning the sixth race at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday.

Lyle Hewitson appeared to have ridden a superb race on the hot favourite  to beat Anse Lazio under replacement rider Ashton Arries by a neck, but an objection on the grounds of interference in the latter stages was lodged by Arries.

Matterhorn (9-10)  had definitely lugged out on to Anse Lazio (7-2) at around the 200m marker and the Stipes deemed the interference sufficient to turn the result around.

But Hollywoodbets credited all Matterhorn straight win bets backers immediately in terms of their popular Irish Objection, which guarantees a full refund of the stake if the horse backed is relegated on an objection.
