Top Filly Comes Under The Hammer

After local last race at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth - Wednesday

An exciting opportunity has arisen to purchase a Gr2 winning 4yo filly in training and with the immediate engagement included of the SplashOut Gr3 Victress Stakes to be run at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday.

Cape Racing Sales have announced that the five-time winning Red Palace will come under the hammer to be sold, without reserve, by public auction immediately after the final race (16h58) at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Wednesday, 11 December. The sale is being conducted in order to dissolve a partnership.

A winner of the 2024 Riding High Together Gr2 Gold Bracelet, Red Palace (119) has proven herself a filly of top-class ability and performed with great credibility when runner-up behind Snow Pilot in the 2023 Hollywoodbets Gr1 Cape Guineas. She has won her races from 1400m to 2000m and looks to have good scope this season with promising broodmare prospects in the medium term.

Red Palace achieved her peak career victory in the Riding High Together Gr2 Gold Bracelet – ridden by jockey Grant Van Niekerk (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

A daughter of Singspiel’s Gr1 Premier Champion Stakes winner Potala Place, Red Palace is out of the Jay Peg mare In Limine.

Red Palace could provide a prospective purchaser with a quick return as she is carded to carry top weight in the six horse R225 000 SplashOut Gr3 Victress Stakes at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday, 14 December.
