Highly vaunted debutante Kommetjie Storm takes her place in race 2 and William Iron Arm could make it an early double for the Tony Peter stable when he takes his place in Race 3 as one of the best bets on the card.
He raced from a handy position last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Joker Man.
He has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
Trainer Johan Janse van Vuuren sends out Professor Snape in the lucky last and he may be the horse to close off the meeting.
He showed good improvement in his last start over 1600m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.
He takes a drop in class and should strip much fitter. He is drawn wide but Winning Form-sponsored Jockey Kabelo Matsunyane retains the ride and he should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
