Eight races are scheduled at the Vaal on the Classic course this afternoon.
The first race is due off at 13h00 while the lucky last is at 17h15.
Jimmy The Rich writes Valyrian King from the Paul Matchett stable takes his place in Race 6 on the card. He has been impressive in his last two victories over this distance.
He received another four pound penalty for his last victory, but may still be ahead of the handicapper. The speedy son of Duke Of Marmalade may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
St John Gray sends out Don’t Look Back in Race 5. He won a very good race in his stable debut over this distance.
The manner in which he drew off at the finish was encouraging. He has won once, finished second twice and third twice from 12 starts over this distance.
If repeating that effort, he can notch up his fourth career victory.
The false rail is zero on the back straight and bend with a 2m spur at the 600m mark.
