Grappler Should Be Hands On Today

The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h00

Eight races are scheduled at the Vaal this afternoon.

Sean Tarry has a busy day with 13 runners carded. He has trained 74 winners this season and will be looking to add to that tally today.

The first race is due off at 12h50.

Jimmy The Rich writes Grappler takes his place in Race 3 on the card. His last two starts after returning from a 31-week break have been good.

He should have won last time as he shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. The son of Trippi will enjoy the extra furlong on offer and should be cherry-ripe.

Paul Matchett saddles Nina Amelia in the lucky last race. She is much better than her last start as she was reported to be coughing.

It must be noted that May Queen has come out and won since.

She has won once, finished second twice and third twice from six starts over this distance. She takes a slight drop in class today and can get back to winning ways.

The false rail is at zero on the back straight to 4,5m on the bend with a 4,5m spur at the 700m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h50
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h25
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h00
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h40
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h15

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
