Racing is at the Vaal this afternoon and eight races are scheduled.

Muzi Yeni who is currently sitting in fifth place on National Jockey’s Log with 67 winners this season, looks to be the man to follow.

He has seven rides on the day, with a few good chances of winning.

Lily Blue hails from the Paul Matchett yard and takes her place in Race 4. She has been impressive in her last two victories over 1800m on this course.

She took the lead at the 400m mark last time and fought hard all the way to the line.

The daughter of Black Minnaloushe won her only attempt over this distance. The 4yo filly should notch up the hat-trick this afternoon.

The best value comes in the lucky last race in the form of Into The Future. He makes his stable debut for the Barend Botes yard.

He is much better than his last start at Hollywoodbets Greyville suggests. The son of Visionaire has won once, finished second once and third once from six starts over this distance.

He continues to drop in the ratings and takes a drop in class today. If settled into his new surroundings, he can get back to winning ways.

The inside false rail is at zero on the back straight, 7m on the bend with a 7m spur at the 600m mark. The outside false rail is at zero.
