Lerena Is On The Verge

The Bipot starts in the first at 13h10

Eight races are scheduled for the Vaal Classic track this afternoon.

The first race is due off at 13h10 and the lucky last is set for 17h20.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Candice Dawson saddles Ontheverge in Race 2 and she is the best bet on the card.

She ran a good race when finishing second in her last start over 1500m on this course. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was eye-catching.

The daughter of Where’s That Tiger will love the extra distance on offer and with Gavin Lerena retaining the ride, she should take a power of beating.

West Coast Lover from the Paul Peter stable can close off the meeting. He ran a decent race in his last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course.

He showed good speed, but was outrun in the latter stages.

The son of Vercingetorix is having his peak run this afternoon and should be cherry-ripe. The 4yo gelding may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

The false rail is at 3.5m on the back straight and 9m on the bend with a 5m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h10
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h45
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h25
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h00
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h35

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
