Kennedy & Peter- The Team To Watch Today

The Bipot starts in the first at 12h35

Racing is at the Vaal Racecourse this afternoon.

Warren Kennedy has six rides for trainer Paul Peter and he could be the jockey worth following.

The first race is due off at 12h35.

Jimmy The Rich writes that trainer Mike de Kock sends out Power Ranger in Race 4. He produced a promising debut effort over 1160m at Turffontein.

He understandably raced green, but showed good pace and stayed on at the finish. The son of Silvano would have gained from the experience and should enjoy the extra distance on offer.

Muzi Yeni retains the ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.

Laetitia’s Angel from the in-form Ashley Fortune stable takes her place in the lucky last and she represents decent each way value.

She is much better than her last start in the Grade 3 Poinsettia Stakes. It must be noted that the form of that race has worked out well.

She has finished second twice from as many starts over this course and distance. 4kgs claiming apprentice Gabriel Pieterse takes the ride and she can return to winning ways.

Luke Ferraris will not be riding as he is medically indisposed.

The false rail is at zero on the back straight and bend with a 1.5m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h35

  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 13h45
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h20
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 14h55

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
