Sunday Launch For Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge

Win your share of R10 000 every KZN meeting

The Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge is back!

Horse racing punters stand a chance to win their share of R10 000 every race meeting at Hollywoodbets Greyville and Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

The game is free to play for all Hollywoodbets account holders, using their login credentials on the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge website at https://punters.hollywoodbets.net/.

The game is simple, requiring a player to pick one horse for each race on the card, and submitting their picks 5 minutes before the first race of the day.

Players receive points depending on where their selection finishes in a race, and how many actual runners there are in a race.

Therefore, in a twelve-horse race, 1st position will receive 12 points, 2nd position 11 points, 3rd position 10 points, all the way down to last position with 1 point. In a seven-horse race, 1st position will receive 7 points, 2nd position will receive 6 points, and so on.

Bonus points are awarded for winning selections, where the Hollywoodbets Starting Price (SP) for that horse will be added to the points awarded. If the winning horse’s SP is 4/1 for example in a race, then an additional 5 points (4 + 1) will be added to the points earned. In the above twelve-horse race example the winning selection would have 17 points awarded (12 plus 5 bonus points).

The prize breakdown per meeting is R4 000 for the winner, R2 000 for 2nd place, R1 000 for 3rd place, R500 for 4th place, R250 each for positions 5th to 10th and R100 each for positions 11th to 20th. Prizes are credited to the winners’ Hollywoodbets account and can be used for betting purposes or withdrawn as cash.

In addition, there will be a monthly prize pot of R20 000 each month awarded to the Top 20 on the leaderboard based on overall cumulative points.

The prize money will be awarded as follows: winner R8 000, 2nd place R4 000, 3rd place R2 000, 4th place R1 000, 5th to 10th place R500 and 11th to 20th place R200.

But that’s not all! A whopping R500 000 prize money will be paid to any player who picks all the winners on any race day. This is an all or nothing prize!

To top this, for every race meeting where the R500 000 is not won, a further R25 000 will be added to the pot. Potentially the prize will be R750 000 at the end of November and over the ‘magic million’ in late December!

Dead-heat rules apply in the event of multiple winners for all the above competitions.

The competition gets underway on Sunday, 8th November 2020.

This competition is open to all Hollywoodbets customers with active accounts.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
