The Falcon To Fly Over Fairview Today

First due off @ 12h35

Today’s local racemeeting takes place at Fairview Racecourse.

Two feature races, the Listed East Cape Guineas and Listed East Cape Sprint Cup, are carded on the eight race programme.

Don’t forget to take the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge with the first due off at 12h35.

Silver Falcon from the Justin Snaith stable takes his place in the Listed East Cape Sprint Cup.

He should have finished much closer to the winner in the Khaya Stables Gr2 Diadem Stakes last time. He finished 0.3 lengths behind Countdown that day.

He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

With a bit of luck in running, his trip to the Eastern Cape may be a successful one.

  • Here’s a replay of Silver Falcon in action with a close finish in third…

Emmanuel Kaknis sends out Light Without in Race 5.

He was not disgraced when third against stronger company in his last start over 1800m on this course.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He finished third in his only attempt over this course and distance.

The 6yo gelding takes on weaker this afternoon and with a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he can notch up his fourth-career victory.

  • Race: 3 – #9 Camaradrie had a 150 day break due to changing stable yards.

  • Jockey Sandile Khathi will not be riding today.
