The End Of Movember

Jockey Team Excels

Movember jocks - Greg Cheyne, Anthony Andrews, MJ Byleveld, Corne Orffer, Chris Puller and Aldo Domeyer

Give it up for the Movember jocks!

Well, it’s been a long month, but our jockey team has been resolute and done their bit for Movember and men’s health.

There’s been fun, there’s been fur and in some cases downright frustration with marathon-running Chippy Taylor commenting that the Comrades was easier!

Thanks to all the guys’ hard work and some very generous support from friends, fans and fellow jocks (including the Shaw Racing Team from Singapore who sponsored a massive R6,000) the Jockeys team raised R17,749 and reached 44th spot on the national log.

It’s a massive achievement, so congratulations to all !

If you’d still like to pledge support, donations will be accepted until 10 December 2014 on the Movember page.

Thanks to everyone who took part and we include a final round-up of some of the month’s Mo’s.

The sad reality is that no matter who did what wrong, the Peter saga has been a scar on the SA horseracing landscape for far too long and besides the old favourite of justice delayed, it has lingered lengths ahead of KZN star Royal Victory’s big win in the 2023 renewal of the Highveld showpiece
