The combination of Mike and Adam Azzie send out Emblem Of War in Race 3. He produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1600m.

Despite over racing in the early stages, he fought hard all the way to the line.

He would have gained from the experience and should make the natural improvement. If Muzi Yeni can switch him off early, he should go one better.

In The Ether from the Grant Maroun stable takes her place in the lucky last and she may be the horse to close off the meeting.

She was doing her best work late when 1.5 lengths behind Brosnan last time.

She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

She has won once and finished third twice from five starts over this course and distance. She will be at peak fitness and can return to winning ways.
