Tarry’s Gerbera Looks Best Bet Today

The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h30

Racing takes place on the Turffontein Standside course this afternoon and eight races are carded.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge with the first due off at 12h30.

Trainer Sean Tarry, who saddles Litigation in Saturday’s R5 million WSB Gr1 Cape Town Met, sends out Gerbera in Race 4 and she is the best bet on the programme.

She stayed on when fourth in a competitive maiden field over 1160m on this course last time.

It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of One World will love the rise to 1600m, and she should be the one to beat.

Queen Of Love from the Roy Magner stable takes her place in Race 7. She stumbled leaving the start last time and is better than that outing.

She has won once and finished second twice from four starts on this course. Her last victory came under Piere Strydom and if jumping on terms, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

Please note that Nirvan Nastili is not riding today.
