Thunderstruck from the Sean Tarry yard takes his place in Race 2 and he is the best bet on the programme. He was super-impressive when winning the Grade 1 Gold Medallion at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

He showed good pace, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition. The son of Rafeef returns from a well-deserved 14-week break and should notch up the hat-trick.

Heinrich van der Westhuizen saddles Jet Cat in Race 8 and he represents decent each way value. He should have won his last start over 1200m at the Vaal as his pilot dropped his crop at the 250m mark.

Two of his three career victories have come over this distance. He takes a drop-in class and from draw four, he is capable of returning to winning ways.
