Take A Dip In The Pool Today

Early starts at 11h45

Hollywoodbets Kenilworth plays host to a ten-race programme this afternoon.

There are two feature races carded, including the Gr3 WSB Legal Eagle Stakes and the Listed WSB Ladies Mile.

The first is due off at 11h45.

The second leg of the Winter Series, the Gr3 World Sports Betting Legal Eagle Stakes over 1800m, looks to be at the mercy of the Snaith quartet but which one will win is the question.

Many will opt for Richard Fourie’s mount Rockpool, who was gelded after finishing fifth behind See It Again in the Gr1 Splashout Cape Derby and will be making his comeback.

A winning return could see him heading for the Hollywoodbets Durban July.

The Listed World Sports Betting Ladies Mile is the supporting feature and should be dominated by Brett Crawford-trained Happy Chance.

The daughter of Dynasty won the first leg, the Listed 1400m Sweet Chestnut Stakes, and is good value to follow up in Leg 2 of the fillies-and-mares’ winter series. On current form she will prove extremely hard to beat..

Happy Chance from the Brett Crawford stable takes her place in the Listed WSB Ladies Mile. She fought hard for her victory in the Listed WSB Sweet Chestnut Stakes over 1400m on this course.

The daughter of Dynasty has won twice from three starts over this distance. She has plenty of class and despite her awkward draw of seven, she should notch up her fourth career victory.

Trainer Adam Marcus saddles Dance Variety in Race 9.

He finished 0.4 lengths behind Night Tiger last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He was unlucky not to have won last time as he was cramped for galloping room at the 300m mark. Aldo Domeyer takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

  • The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h20
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third race at 12h55
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 13h30
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h05
  • The second Jackpot starts in the seventh race at 15h15
