Sarah Whitelaw: The Gr1 SA Classic has a rich and storied past. Now a R2 million race, the Classic has long been one of South Africa’s most prestigious three year old races.
No horses have been added into the fields for the R2-million SA Classic and the R1-million SA Fillies Classic at the supplementary entry stage, six new runners have been nominated in the R1-million HF Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes. All three Grade 1 races are to be run at Turffontein on Saturday 31 March.
The R2-million SA Classic and R1-million SA Fillies Classic are among the eight Graded races to be run on the Turffontein on 31 March.
