With his historic wire to wire victory in the Gr1 Belmont Stakes, American Pharoah has garnered the top spot in the fourth edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2015
The past month of exciting racing has resulted in a number of newcomers being included in the third edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2015.
Able Friend joins Shared Belief at the top of the leaderboard for the second edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2015.
Topping the board with a rating of 130 was the Japanese-bred Just A Way (Heart’s Cry – Sibyl). The six-year-old, whose track victories include the Dubai Duty Free and the Gr1 Yasuda Kinen, has recently joined his sire Heart’s Cry at the Shadai Stallion Station’s Hokkaido farm
Japan’s Just A Way has led the way for most of the year while Australia, Kingman, The Grey Gatsby and South Africa’s Variety Club currently share the title of co-2nd highest rated horse in the world.
Twelve horses have recorded performances at 120 and above during the past month to gain inclusion into the 2014 LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings.
