The debate around the poor subscription and support of the Durbanville New Year’s Day racemeeting took another turn today when Kenilworth Racing produced a tangible gesture of support for trainers
Only 52 runners have accepted for the Durbanville New Year’s Day meeting – who should be answering for this embarassment?
This week everything reverts to normal with raceday gallops resuming at Kenilworth on Saturday and the weekly club gallops at Durbanville starting again this Thursday
Harold Crawford has saddled only one winner this season so far but suggests his runner in the first today is above average
Western Cape trainers will be pleased to hear that Durbanville resumes Club Gallops on 26 October
In order to allow the Kenilworth track additional time to recover, racing will continue at Durbanville until 25 October 2017
