London clubs face-off against each other this weekend and for the first time in many seasons the pair are ahead of fellow Londoners Chelsea on the log standings.
With the Reds in great cup form this match promises to be a great spectacle for the neutral.
The two English giants, Liverpool and Manchester United, go head to head this Saturday
The Spanish Super Cup in the beginning of the season (2-2 and 3-2 to Barcelona over two legs) may have provided a fiery and freescoring match in typical Clasico fashion between Madrid and Barca (and a bit of eye gouging, too), but the league clashes are what matter most and this Saturday provides the first head-to-head of the campaign between the two Spanish giants.
This campaign looks very balanced as the big guns of the league find it difficult to dispatch their opponents and often are surprised by the quality of the smaller clubs.
The annual MTN8 Cup Final is the highlight of the weekend as these two Soweto giants go head to head for that astonishing R8 million rand prize money.
With all the domestic football out the way, international football takes the hot seat. Both Europe and Africa turn their attention to qualification for their respected international campaigns.
