California Chrome makes it 6 wins on the trot, leading wire to wire in the 2016 Gr1 Awesome Again Stakes to win in a time of 1:48.07
Despite drawing on the rail again for Saturday’s Awesome Again Stakes, Art Sherman says “I think I’ve got the best horse in the country”
We decided the best way to win a Dubai World Cup was to come early and have a prep at Meydan and this race was ideal as we now have four weeks before the big one
“I knew he’d be sharp leaving the gate. When he broke really sharp, I said, ‘Oh, wow.’ ”
Folk are booking tickets from all over the US, if not the world, to watch a horse race. Chrome did that. He seems to leave a little gloss on everything he touches and he’s given everyone a reason to feel good about racing at a time when we all need it most
“Most of the speed is on the outside of me. If they go, they go, I can tuck in right behind them without any problems. I think my horse will perform,” says Art Sherman
