Tote Communication Failure

Cash bets excluded

A communication link between Phumelela TAB and Tabgold went down after the second race at Fairview on Friday, resulting in all cash bets from Tabgold outlets in KwaZulu-Natal being excluded from Phumelela TAB BiPot and Place Accumulator pools on Fairview.

All single-race cash bets from Tabgold outlets bets on Race 2 at Fairview also had to be excluded from Phumelela TAB pools as a result of the communication link failure.

The Tabgold cash bets were excluded because the necessary scans of winning tickets could not be communicated to Phumelela TAB, which hosts all tote pools on South African races.
