Result Error – TAB Apologise

Customers must submit lost ticket claims

An incorrect result was inadvertently posted for Race 7 at Durbanville on Wednesday 28 September.

Initially the judge posted the provisional result as 14-2-13-1, which was amended five minutes later to read 14-2-13-7.

This result was still provisional, but after the All Clear was posted by the stipendiary stewards, it became the official result and TAB declared official dividends and paid out accordingly.

Later after discussions between Tellytrack and TAB staff and Durbanville Racecourse it became clear that No 1 SOLAR NIGHT had run fourth, and not No 7 VOLATILE ENERGY. The official result was then corrected to read 14-2-13-1.

Phumelela TAB is investigating the incident from its perspective and will take any necessary disciplinary action.

The Quartet was the only TAB bet affected by the error.

The 14-2-13-7 Quartet combination paid R1506.20 and the finally official combination of 14-2-13-1 paid R1735.70.

TAB account holders have had balances adjusted accordingly.

TAB outlet customers who discarded what proved to be winning Quartet bets must submit a lost-ticket claim. Those who had both Nos 1 and 7 is winning Quartet bets and were paid the lesser amount must also submit claims.

TAB customers can speak to their branch manager or call TAB Customer Care 0861 444 822 for assistance. TAB apologises profusely for the error and the subsequent inconvenience suffered by customers.
