1. Jockey Brian Nyawo Suspended
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Jockey Brian Nyawo was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of MANTOSH (BRZ), he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners when he shifted in, in the latter stages of Race 5 at the Durbanville Racecourse on 19 October 2010.
Mr Nyawo signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 31 October to 6 November 2010, both days inclusive.
2. Apprentice Jockey Jonathan Soll Suspended
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Apprentice Jockey Jonathan Soll was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of ONE JUMP CHARLIE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to RUN FOR IT by shifting to the inside shortly after the start of Race 6 at the Fairview Racecourse on 22 October 2010.
Mr Soll signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 25 October to 31 October 2010, both days inclusive.
3. Jockey Andrew Fortune Suspended
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Jockey Andrew Fortune was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of PLAISIR DE FETE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FOLKLORE at approximately the 100m mark of Race 2 at the Fairview Racecourse on 22 October 2010.
Mr Fortune signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 29 October to 4 November 2010, both days inclusive.
4. Apprentice Jockey Victor Morake
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Apprentice Jockey Victor Morake was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read with Guideline C, in that when riding BARLEY GOLD in Race 2, he used his crop in an unnecessary manner at the Flamingo Park Racecourse on 25 October 2010.
Mr Morake signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 29 October to 4 November 2010, both days inclusive.
