In-form trainer Candice Bass-Robinson saddles Waiting For Summer in Race 4 on the card. He showed good improvement in his last start over 1500m at Durbanville.

He had to switch at the 350m mark that day and stayed on strongly at the finish.

The son of Noble Tune is back against Maiden Company this afternoon and with Keagan de Melo in the saddle, he should go one better.

Sonic Burst from the Piet Botha stable takes her place in Race 7. She ran a good race when finishing second in her last start over 1250m at Durbanville.

She raced from a handy position that day, but found one too good in the form of subsequent winner Windsor Beat.

The daughter of Elusive Fort has won once and finished third once from four starts over this course and distance. If not in need of the run, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

The winter course false rail is 2m out from the 1700m mark with a 4m spur at the 470m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h40
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h15
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 13h50
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h25
