Jimmy The Rich writes that Princess Calla from the Adam Marcus stable takes her place in the Gr3 Umzimkhulu Stakes.

She was not disgraced when finishing fifth in the Gr1 Cape Town Met last time.

She was cramped for galloping room at the 1400m mark and was reported to have a mouth injury.

The daughter of Flower Alley won her only attempt over this distance. She takes a drop-in class this afternoon and if suited to the track, she should be the one to beat.

Mark Dixon sends out Alfonsa Spagoni in Race 8. He showed very good signs of a form return in his last start over this track and trip.

He should have won that day as he has to switch at the 300m mark.

He has won once, finished second three times and third once from nine starts over this course and distance. With a bit of luck in running, he should go one better here.

Deon Sampson and Muzi Yeni are not riding today.

The false rail is set at 7.5m.
