Greengrowthelilacs from the Dean Kannemeyer stable takes her place in Race 2. She produced a promising debut effort over 1400m on the polytrack.

The manner in which she ran on at the finish that day was encouraging. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight would have come on with the run under her belt.

She will enjoy the step up to the mile and if suited to the turf, she should be the one to beat.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Clinton Binda sends out Diamonds ‘n Dust in the lucky last. She was in need of her comeback run over this distance at the Vaal.

She has won three times and finished third twice from eight starts over this distance. She takes a slight drop in class today and should strip a much fitter horse.

She makes her course debut and if suited to the track, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

Stuart Randolph will not be riding today as he is medically indisposed.

The false rail is at 2,5m.

The Enchanting Currency Of Fate

It is eerie to think that there would have been no Siren’s Call, Sound Of Warning, or for that matter Call To Unite, had fate not decreed that Enchanted Cove follow her dam to South Africa, and that Peter de Beyer had the foresight to return Elusive Fort back home from the States as well!
