Sunday Racing In The Capital City

The Bipot starts in the first at 12h25

With hardly any rain predicted in the Pietermaritzburg area, racing is set to take place at Hollywoodbets Scottsville today, and an eight-race programme is scheduled.

The day’s racing offers another chance to win big in the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge – the free to enter competition closes at 12h20,

The main event on the programme is Race 7, which is a Graduation Plate over 1750m.

The first race is due off at 12h25.

Tony Rivalland saddles Camora in race 4 today.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Camora from the Tony Rivalland stable is the best bet on the day.

He showed good speed last time, but found one too good in the form of Herecomestherain.

The son of Master Of My Fate ran a cracker on debut over this course and distance. He may be better suited to the straight course and should take a power of beating.

Nathan Kotzen saddles Great Affair in the last race. He showed good improvement in his last start over a mile at Hollywoodbets Greyvillle.

The manner in which he finished off his race that day caught the eye.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight will enjoy the extra distance on offer and has cracked a good draw. He should strip fitter and may have more to come.

Camora has an equipment change of alumites on his front hooves, with steel shoes on his back hooves.

The false rail is at 7,5m.
