Poppy To Bloom Today

The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h40

Hollywoodbets Greyville plays host to an eight-race programme on the turf this afternoon.

Don’t forget about the Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge and if you tip all eight winners on the card, you can win over R2 million.

The first is off at 12h30.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Duncan Howells saddles Poppy Of Bayeux in Race 1.

She should have won last time as she was struck on the nose by another jockey’s crop.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

The daughter of William Longsword is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe.

From her good draw of two, she should shed her maiden tag.

Bernie’s Dream from the Glen Kotzen stable takes his place in Race 7. He produced a good comeback run over 1200m on the polytrack.

He was carried outwards in the early stages of the race, but finished strongly.

The manner in which he ran on at the finish that day suggests that he will enjoy the extra furlong on offer. He should strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and can return to winning ways.
