Sunday Racing From Around The World

All the off-times

Former SA-based jockeys Chris ‘Chippy’ Taylor and Robbie Fradd ride at our first meeting of the day today.

There are eleven races at Beaudesert, with the first off at 02h20.

The racecourse is located 64 kilometres south of the Brisbane CBD in Queensland.

The first race meeting was held on 16 April 1879 under the auspices of the Logan and Albert Jockey Club.

The present grandstand was built in 1912 and in 2001 the venue received a major upgrade with the inclusion of an all weather track.

It is circular and has a track circumference of 1435m and a home straight of only 210 m.

Inside draws are a big advantage!

The Enchanting Currency Of Fate

It is eerie to think that there would have been no Siren’s Call, Sound Of Warning, or for that matter Call To Unite, had fate not decreed that Enchanted Cove follow her dam to South Africa, and that Peter de Beyer had the foresight to return Elusive Fort back home from the States as well!
