The 2019 Sun Met day programme is taking shape with entries for the support features closing at 11h00 on Wednesday.
The features on the day include the R1 million TAB Betting World Gr1 Cape Flying Championship which is run at weight-for-age over 1000m.

Recent winners to put their hands up for the final sprint feature of the Cape summer include impressive Lebelo Sprint winner Rebel’s Champ and Brett Crawford’s speed merchant Pacific Trader, who beat a strong field at Kenilworth last Saturday, but is yet to win a feature race.
Other features on the day include the R1 million Bidvest Gr1 Majorca Stakes, the R1 million Gr1 Cape Derby, the R400 000 Gr2 Western Cape Stayers and the R150 000 Tattersalls Listed Summer Juvenile Stakes.
Two race sales races round off the programmes. At R5 million apiece, the CTS 1200 and the CTS 1600 are our richest non black-type sales restricted races.
According to the latest programme, the R350 000 Kuda Sprint is no longer on the Met Day programme and will be run at a date still to be confirmed.

The final supplementary entries for the Sun Met close at 11h00 on Monday 7 January. The weights will be published the same day.
