Summit Not At Peak – But Class Can Prevail

First due off @ 13h50

An exciting ten-race programme takes place at Turffontein Racecourse this afternoon.

There is a R1 million Pick 6 carryover with a likely pool of R5 million. The card consists of five feature races with the first due off at 13h50.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer David Nieuwenhuizen saddles Sandringham Summit in the Gr3 Betway Graham Beck Stakes.

He was super-impressive when winning the Gr1 World Pool Moment Of The Day Premiers Champion Stakes last time.

He returns from a well-deserved 13-week break.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight is loaded with class and he has an electric turn of foot. From barrier four, he should take a power of beating.

Safe Passage from the Mike de Kock stable takes his place in the Gr2 Allied Steelrode – Onamission Charity Mile.

He showed some signs of needing his comeback run over this distance on the Inside course. He has won twice and finished third twice from as many starts over this course and distance.

The 5yo gelding would have come on from his last outing and will strip much fitter. He races well this time of the year and can notch up his seventh-career victory.
