Summerveld Equestrian Property – Auction Update

The auction on Thursday at lunch-time of a magnificent equestrian investment property situated in Summerveld was reported to have gone well, with a highest bid of R6,3 million received.

The well situated Cunha family property is in a quiet cul-de-sac bordering on a conservancy and private game reserve within the KZN development corridor, 20 minutes either side of Durban and Pietermaritzburg, and had plenty of interest shown.

“The auction went well. We received a highest bid of R6,3million but we are looking for at least R7 million, or in that region. So the property is still available and anyone interested can make us an offer,” Dylan Cunha told the Sporting Post on Thursday afternoon.

The property, at D80 Pauline Crescent Summerveld, is situated on 10 acres of level land, has a 5 bedroom/3 bathroom homestead, 2 double garages, domestic servants quarters and grooms accommodation, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor entertainment areas.

Facilities include 56 stables, a tack room and 2 feed rooms, vet room, equine swimming pool, 300m railed sand track, paddocks and sand riding/showing arena. It also has a 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom flatlet on the property.

The property has conditional use of the Summerveld Training Facilities.
