Striker Gets Real At Vaal Today

First due off @ 12h00

Today’s racemeeting takes place on the Vaal Classic course.

A nine-race programme has been carded for the afternoon with the first due off at 12h00 and the last set for 16h40.

Piere Strydom takes the ride on Be Real for trainer Heather Adamson (Pic – Chase Liebenberg)

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Heather Adamson sends out Be Real in Race 6.

She was settled at the rear of the field in her last start on the Turffontein Inside course and ran on powerfully to finish third.

The daughter of Alado will love the rise to 2000m and she will enjoy the longer run-in.

Jockey Piere Strydom keeps faith in the ride and from pole position, she may be the one to beat.

Apache Son from the Tyrone Zackey stable takes his place in Race 8.

He was given a peach of a ride when winning his maiden at the fourth time of asking. He ran on powerfully and got up where it matters most.

It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since.

The son of The Apache takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and can follow up.
