Golf Day raises R25 000 for good cause

Grant and Joanne Knowles of Equine Marketing Solutions hosted a golf day at Atlantic Beach Links on Wednesday last week to raise funding towards popular Cape racecaller Rouvaun Smit’s exorbitant medical expenses.

Rouvaun suffered a fall at home in March and is undergoing extensive rehabilitation in order to help him to walk again.

Approximately R25 000 was raised and special thanks were extended to the following sponsors (in alphabetical order) for their generous donations &  prizes which contributed to making the day a success:

In addition to the golf day, some very generous support in the form of stallion services from leading stud farms in the Western Cape has meant that Bloodstock SA have agreed to auction the services on Thursday after the KZN Yearling Sale, which is being held at the Suncoast Casino.
