SP Birthday Fun: 7 Winners After Feature Quartet Flummoxes Entrants

Look out for more on Saturday and Sunday

Day 1 of the Sporting Post’s 30th birthday giveaway competition produced seven winners at Fairview on Friday when readers were asked to predict the straight-line quartet on the feature, the Nelson Mandela Bay Poly Challenge 1600.

History now shows that the favourite King Regent (1) beat Cherry Ano (2), Bush Tracker (3) and The Mauritian (6).

While the quartet only paid R86-50, no single entrant managed to crack it.

In the circumstance, the judging panel decided to award a R500 Hollywoodbets betting voucher to each of the undermentioned 7 readers, who called the quartet as 1-2-3-4, and were adjudged to be closest to the pin.

  • Philip Goldberg
  • Gareth Goliath
  • Deena Pillay
  • Henry Steyn
  • Desmond Nadasen
  • Damian Govender
  • Vinny Govender

We are giving away more Hollywoodbets betting vouchers on Saturday and on Sunday.
