Snaith Scratches Hollywoodbets Durban July Runner – Stablemate Steps In

Drama ahead of Saturday's big one!

Without Question – won’t run (Pic – Chase Liebenberg)

Justin Snaith’s Without Question was withdrawn from Saturday’s Hollywoodbets Gr1 Durban July at 17h13 on Thursday afternoon, which now gives his first reserve stablemate Hluhluwe a run in the big race on Saturday.

Jono Snaith told the Sporting Post that Without Question was given his final workout by Rachel Venniker on Thursday morning, and sadly pulled up rather lame on his near-hind.

“After examination, it was apparent that the injury will rule him out for the remainder of this season and he will have a holiday before returning to the Cape for the Summer Season. This was a sad day for his connections, but he is a horse who will be back for the Gr1 Cape Town Met as he is a young gelding (four year old),” added Snaith.

Rachel Venniker will ride replacement Hluhluwe. So she can still make history!
