Snaith Looks To Open 2024 KZN Account Today

First due off @ 12h35

Today’s local racemeeting takes place at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

An eight-race programme has been carded for this afternoon and eight races are carded with the first due off at 12h35.

Don’t forget to take the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge and tip your way to the top of the day’s leaderboard!

In the tightest finish of the day, Corne Orffer gets Master Redoute up on the outside to beat Triple Time (Van Niekerk) on the inside, with Aragosta (Fourie, red and white) and Nebraas (Lerena) in the mix (Pic - Candiese Lenferna)

A close 2nd – Master Redoute (Corne Orffer) beats Triple Time (Van Niekerk), Aragosta (Fourie, red and white) and Nebraas (Lerena) in the New Turf Carriers Gr3 Western Cape Stayers  (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Triple Time from the Justin Snaith stable is the possible Pick 6 banker in Race 3.

He has finished second in his last two starts, the latest of which was in the New Turf Carriers Gr3 Western Cape Stayers.

The son of Twice Over is the best-weighted runner in this contest and if settled into KZN, he should be the one to beat.

Trainer Barend Botes sends out Kind Judy in Race 4. She ran a fair race in her comeback run over 1800m on the polytrack.

The way she stayed on at the finish was encouraging.

It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since.

She will strip a much fitter horse and back on the turf, she can show.

Race 5 – #8 Trusova had a 151 day break due to undergoing fetlock surgery.

Race 8 – #1 Eau De Vie had a 147 day break due to a recovering from a laceration to the hind leg.

Race 8 – #6 Mac Hardy had a 422 day break due to a h/quarter injury & was given time off to recover.
