Skies Are Blue…

First race off @ 12h45

Hollywoodbets Scottsville hosts an eight-race programme this afternoon.

Don’t forget about the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge which gives you an opportunity to win.

The first is due off at 12h45.

Kindly note that jockey Muzi Yeni will not be riding this afternoon.

A reminder again that the revamped free-to-enter Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge is now run on all local racemeetings, as well as on Singapore and Hong Kong fixtures.

Get your entry in today by 12h35 latest, please!

The new prize payouts formulae means that besides the R5 000 daily must-be-won prize, which is allocated to the top 20 finishers on the leaderboard for every challenge race meeting, the all-or-nothing 100% clean sheet jackpot prize will now be determined by the number of runners at the race meeting, multiplied by R10 000 per unit, for all venues.

And as an added incentive, every player who wagers R50 or more on the Bet Slip generated by the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge entry, will automatically have their potential winning payout from the competition, doubled!

Red Roses Too from the Dennis Drier stable takes her place in Race 5 and she is the best bet on the card.

She produced an encouraging comeback run over 1000m on this course, eight weeks ago.

The manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging and the horse that finished second has come out and won since.

The daughter of Captain Of All will strip a much fitter horse today and she can return to winning ways.

Trainer Gareth van Zyl saddles Wylie Rylie in Race 6.

He was an easy winner of his last start over this course and distance. He showed good speed, found another kick, and won with a ton in hand.

The son of Wylie Hall takes on stronger, but he may be ahead of the handicapper and can follow up.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h45
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h20
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h55
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h30
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 15h05
