Some solid without being spectacular races to close the card but those that were impressed with ALASAMO last start maiden win, will want to get back on-board in race 7. The 4YO was going just OK at six career starts before blinkers went on and the rest they say, is history. Sure, one swallow does not a summer make, however his good trial prior to the win was also very good suggesting the head-gear has improved him lengths and there should be more wins to come.

This race is tougher but the ease in which he won suggests he is better than KSD and could be a horse to follow over even more ground and on the turf as well.

Elsewhere late on the 10 race card, a 9YO having a new lease in life in U GOT IT could be a good each-way bet in what is an open lucky last.

Rueven claims 2kg and given U GOT IT was thereabouts in Class 3 company last start, he should be right in this.

Best Bets; (ALASAMO race 7, win), (U GOT IT race 10, each-way) and (SOON YI race 8, value).
Bankers for Jackpots: Race 7 (1, 3, 5 and 7), race 8 (1, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10), race 9 (1, 2, 3, 4 and 8), race 10 (1, 2, 3 and 6).

Race 7

Selections; 1 ALASAMO – 3 PINYIN – 5 PICTURE – 7 VICTORIOUS STREAK
A KSD over 1800m on the poly with little depth. ALASAMO bolted in last outing over 1700m in Class 5 and while this is harder and longer, he won so well last time he should give a bold sight once again. PINYIN outstayed them over 2000m in Class 5 last outing, he has won at this trip and with the claim for Zuriman should race well again. PICTURE is a dour stayer who scored for Moreira over 1800m in Class 5 last outing. Again, this is harder but gets Nunes to keep him honest. The field falls away after these with the maiden VICTORIOUS STREAK some chance after his solid 4th in a Class 5 over 1800m last start; he gets Alan Munro who should give him every chance. SOUTH GATE’s recent form is poor but at his best he would be right in the finish.

1 ALASAMO *** Bolted in last outing over 1700m in Class 5. This is harder but should give a bold sight once again. 3.00
2 BEAUTIFUL WORLD * Recent form poor but likes to bowl along and from the ace could give a sight. 20
3 PINYIN *** Outstayed them over 2000m in Class 5 last outing. Has won at this trip on poly and should race well. 3.00
4 SOUTH GATE ** Well beaten at past few outings and has never won beyond 1700m. At best form could show up. 12
5 PICTURE *** Dour stayer who scored for Moreira over 1800m in Class 5 last outing. This is harder but gets Nunes to keep him honest. 4.00
6 GRAND PARIS * Yet to show up in 7 starts. 33
7 VICTORIOUS STREAK *** Maiden who had excuses in Class 5 last start over 1800m. Gets Munro and could get involved at odds. 10
8 EIGHTH WONDER * Has not won for a long time and form since resuming has been poor. 50
9 DOS EQUIS * Needs Class 5 over shorter. 50
10 ESCALADE PEAK * Fifteen start maiden was placed over a mile last start. Wants easier. 33
11 CONQUEST * Form poor but will inject some speed into the race. 33
12 TRIPLE GOALS * Doesn’t win often and needs easier. 50

Race 8

Selections; 9 GHOST – 10 SEASWALLOW – 7 TASHI – 6 SOON YI
A highly competitive Class 4 over 1100m on the poly with a number of speedsters involved. HAPPY DRAGON showed them a clean pair of heels and held on well over 1200m in this Grade last start; he is up 2kg but well drawn again and will be hard to catch. The one that will be chasing him include TASHI and GHOST, both of whom have good gates. TASHI was supported and run down late when resuming. He has won over 1000m on poly and should be on the speed all the way. GHOST was run down over 1200m when resuming, he is trialling well and will give a sight from the ace. The likely hot pace could also see SEA SWALLOW sit handy. He ran down BARNATO to score a strong Novice win last start, from the good draw he will get a gun run and should be closing late. There are plenty of other chances with BENJI’s RULE, SOON YI, XIN TREASURE capable at this level and the newcomer, EASTERN BOSS, is a Hastings (NZ) Maiden winner who is trialling well enough to warrant a market watch.

1 MASTER DRAGON *** Showed them a clean pair of heels and held on over 1200m last start. Up 2kg but well drawn again and will be hard to catch. 5.00
2 BENJI’S RULE ** Ran down leader to win over this trip last outing. Up 2kg and poorly drawn but should be closing late. 14
3 MEDIA CAPTAIN ** Resuming. Was consistent at this level last preparation and could show up. Draw no help. 33
4 XIN TREASURE ** Suited this grade and rarely far away. Will be handy throughout. 20
5 SAVAGE STORM *** Blinkers off. Has been freshened. Has finished top four at past five starts at this level and should race well again. 7.00
6 SOON YI *** Will enjoy getting back on poly and will be closing late. 16
7 TASHI *** Supported and was run down late when resuming. Has won over 1000m on poly and should give a sight. 5.00
8 EASTERN BOSS ** Blinkers on. Hastings (NZ) maiden winner having first Singapore start. Had had several trials. Watch market. 12
9 GHOST *** Run down over 1200m when resuming. Will give a sight from the ace with nice recent trial a pointer. 5.00
10 SEASWALLOW *** Ran down BARNATO to score strong Novice win last start. Well drawn and should be up to this. 6.00
11 SACRED CROWN ** Won in this grade two starts back and not far away last outing. Gets back but will be closing late. 14
12 METAPHOR * Maiden who has been placed 3 from 4 on turf. Has been freshened but yet to show up on poly. Watch market. 50
13 SMART SAMURAI * Resuming. At best over 1000m. 50
14 BLUE DIAMOND * Ridden off the speed and hung on better last outing. Has been disappointing since Maiden win but could show up. 50

Race 9

Selections; 8 DRAGON WALK – 2 GILT LAD – 1 EXQUISITELY SWEET – 4 LION MASTER
A KSD over 1200m on the poly with numerous chances. DRAGON WALK won his maiden over 1200m and hung on well in Class 4 over 1100m last outing. He is up 6.5 kg but with Dan Beasley to ride can give a sight. GILT LAD is honest when right, he battled away well in Class 4 last start, this is easier and he gets a handy 4kg claim. EXQUISITELY SWEET ran on strongly to just miss over 1200m at first start in KSD company, well drawn he should be closing hard late. LION MASTER is no champion but he is honest, has put in solid efforts in this Grade after his Maiden win and will be on the speed for a long way. NATURAL NINE has been supported several times but remains a maiden after 12 starts, he has been placed at his past three outings the most recent in this grade; he should be thereabouts again. NINETYSIX CHAMP ran on last outing and GREENBACK fresh could show up on trial form.

1 EXQUISITELY SWEET *** Ran on strongly to just miss over 1200m at first start in KSD company. Well drawn and should be closing hard late. 4.00
2 GILT LAD *** Battled away well in Class 4 last start. This is easier and gets handy 4kg claim. 4.00
3 NATURAL NINE *** Still a maiden after 12 starts but due. Has been placed at past three outings the most recent in this grade. Will be thereabouts again. 8.00
4 LION MASTER *** Solid efforts in this Grade after Maiden win. Honest and will give a sight once again. 6.00
5 NINETYSIX CHAMP ** Missed kick before closing well to get 2nd in a weak KSD last start. Cheeky run expected. 9.00

7 DORAEMON * 9YO who showed speed before dropping out when resuming. Wants easier. 33

11 DYNASTY KNIGHT * Blinker pacifiers and tongue tie on. Only wins have been on turf and better in Class 5. 50

Race 10

Selections; 3 U GOT IT – 1 TWO M AND M – 2 SERPICO – 6 DARK PULSE
An open Class 4 over a mile on turf featuring a number of gnarled warriors closes off the programme. U GOT IT is a 9YO who has been rejuvenated of late. He ran a bold race over 1800m in Class 3 company last outing, the mile is preferable and should give a bold sight in this. TWO M AND M will find this easier than BM89 last star, he will appreciate claim but has yet to win at a mile. SERPICO disappointed last outing, he has won twice at the mile and with a claim for Noh Senari from the ace, should get a gun run. DARK PULSE has been racing handy and battling on well at recent outing, he won at a mile and with Harry Kassim steering should be handy all the way. Amongst the veterans are CAIYAYA who has yet to win at the mile and DAADS THE WAY who loves the mile but not the poly. DAHLHAUS, MAREA NEGRO and DRAGON are all unreliables but have sufficient talent to win on their day.

1 TWO M AND M *** Will find this easier than BM89 last start. Will appreciate claim but mile has tested in the past. 4.50
2 SERPICO *** Resumed with ordinary effort over 1400m. Has won twice at the mile and with claim from the ace should get a gun run. 5.00
3 U GOT IT *** 9YO who ran a bold race over 1800m in Class 3 company last outing. Racing well of late and should give a bold sight in this. 5.00
4 CAIYAYA ** 8YO who put in a good effort over 1200m last start, Has yet to win or place in four attempts at a mile. 10
5 DAAD’S THE WAY ** 9YO who has won six times at a mile but prefers the poly. 12
6 DARK PULSE *** Has been racing handy and battling on well at recent outings. Has won at a mile and should be handy all the way. 5.00
7 GREAT LIGHT * Has not won in past 17 starts and never at a mile or on turf. 33
8 PRECIOUS GEM * Two runs since resuming only fair and may want easier. Only win was at a mile. 20
9 DAHLHAUS * Not the most reliable and last effort was poor. Previously put in a good effort over 1400m in Class 4 and gets Corey Brown. 20
10 DRAGON ** Unreliable but only two wins were at a mile and can run on very strongly. 14
11 MAREA NEGRO ** Has speed and with no weight could be up the front for a long way. Only win was at 1600m. 14
12 ANODOUBT * Better in Class 5. 50
