Susanna’s Sparkling Summerveld Stretch

Snaith star is flying

Sun Met winner Oh Susanna put up some ‘very pleasing’ work on the grass at Summerveld on Thursday morning.

Jono Snaith has confirmed to the Sporting Post that the Sun Met star is well over the bruised heel that saw her scratched as a precautionary measure from the Daisy Fillies Guineas on Friday evening.

The Drakenstein owned and bred daughter of Street Cry wass ridden by leading Cape workrider Levis Kuse, who rides her every day.

“She’s not an easy ride but Levis knows her very well. She strode out beautifully and it was really eyecatching work. This was her replacement for the race she missed last Friday evening and we are very pleased with her progress,” said Jono Snaith.

Oh Susanna was only out of work for one day and ithe decision to give the Daiisy Fillies Guineas a miss appears to have been the best one.

She will make her KZN debut in the Gr1 Woolavington on 2 June.
