- Race 1:
Trainer David Ferraris could get his race meeting off to a good start with BLAZING PARTNERS (3) HURRICANE HUNTER (1) finished close up last time and gets the services of Moreira – he should run well again and LIVERBIRD STAR (4) for Schofield and O’Sullivan can get into the action. (Selection: 3-1-4)
- Race 2:
ABOVE (3) has solid form and rates the one to beat. HAPPY WIN WIN (9) is seldom far off the action and could be the value bet (I am not sure of the betting at time of writing) and CHEERFUL STAR (6) is more than capable of finishing in the first four. (Selection: 3-9-6)
- Race 3:
FANTASY (9) has the form to be very competitive. He seems to find one to beat him but is overdue another career win and today could be the day! GOOD BEAUTY (2) is seldom far off the action and can make a race of it and from gate 1 and off weight of 50kg’s MONSTER KAKA (12) can certainly make his presence felt. (Selection: 9-2-12)
- Race 4:
INCANTO PREPARED (8) nearly won last time under Moreira and they will be looking to go one better. They do race against winners according to the Tab Form that I am using. NATURAL STORM (6) and REGENCY MASTER (7) are horses that might well have plenty of scope to improve and they can get much closer this time – respect and include them in your bets. (Selection: 8-6-7)
- Race 5:
JADE PHOENIX (5) is lightly raced and has placed three from three. He could prove hard to beat today and is the firm first suggestion. TEAM POWER (6) might well have a lot more to offer and huge improvement can be expected. VICTORY MASTERY (12) has only placed once from six starts and might add some value to bets if placing. (Selection: 5-6-12)
- Race 6:
SAM’S LOVE (2) is neatly drawn and has the form to go close to winning this. Jockey Purton gets the ride – he rode this horse last time. THE RUNNER (3) is coming along the right way and should be right there under Chad Schofield. JUNEAU PARK (1) cannot be ignored. He won early and comes from the stable of John Size! (Selection: 2-3-1)
- Race 7:
LARSON (8) starts from gate 1 and will be ridden by Karis Teetan. He is coming along the right way and looks ready to win. Plenty of cheek can be expected from (13) WAR OF COURAGE – he has run four times for a win and three places. (Selection: 8-13)
- Race 8:
Not an easy race but (4) TOYCOON improved at the second time of asking. He is by Turffontein and should win very soon, if not today. He is my selection. (Selection: 4)
- Race 9:
ENZEMBLE (13) has a light weight and comes from the Doug Whyte yard. He is holding his form and looks to have a bright each way chance. MONICA (7) is another with hot form and must be included in most bets. BAND OF BROTHERS (4), COT CAMPBELL (9) and LOBO’S LEGEND (5) are worth a mention too. (Selection: 13-7-4-9)
- Race 10:
SHINING ACE (12) is clearly way better than his last race when finishing tenth of fourteen. He can bounce right back to best here and is the first choice. TRANSCENDENT (10) won on debut and could be absolutely anything – respect and follow. PERFECT MATCH (3) and DUKE WAI (5) should be there and thereabouts. (Selection: 12-10-3-5)
