KZN owner Leslie Logan celebrated a hat-trick of winners at Greyville on Sunday, capped by an impressive end-to-end score for the smart Querari filly Arianos Shadow, who maintained her perfect record when winning the R150 000 Sentinel Stakes.
Mr Logan also owns The Apache’s first ever winner Adorable Analia and the interestingly named Leslie Shadowline, who won the tenth for Robbie Hill.
Only seven runners turned up for the 1000m non black-type feature and Richard Fourie rode a typically confident race by taking Arianos Shadow up to lead early.
Her six opponents were always chasing and the recent polytrack maiden winner looks to have a nice future, scoring with ease by 2,50 lengths in a time of 58,67 secs.
Unbeaten dual winner Crown And Country came on late but had to be satisfied with second.
Across Seattle was a further 1,50 lengths back in third.
The Narrow Creek Stud bred Arianos Shadow is unbeaten in two starts with stakes of R156 250.
A daughter of Querari (Oasis Dream) she is out of the unraced Counting Gold (Count Dubois).
