Follow Lerena Today

The Pick 6 starts in the fourth at 14h10

Nine races are scheduled for Turffontein this afternoon and jockey Gavin Lerena may be the one to follow.

He has ridden 35 winners this season at a strike-rate of 14.8%.

He has a good book of rides and will be looking to add to that tally.

The feature race on the card is Race 7 which is the Listed Secretariat Stakes for three year olds.

The first race is due off at 12h30.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Candice Dawson saddles Miracle And Wonder in Race 2. She produced an eye-catching debut effort over this course and distance.

She lost a length at the start, but finished her race off well.

The daughter of Captain Al would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat.

Princess Sabrina from the Clinton Binda yard looks to be decent value at around 6/1 with Hollywoodbets.

She has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She raced from just off the pace last time and stayed on at the finish.

The daughter of Querari is progressive and can win in this type of field.

Princess Sabrina will be running with blinkers on today.

The false rail is at zero on the back straight to 5,5m on the bend, with a 5,5m spur at the 700m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the second at 13h00
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third at 13h35
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth at 14h10
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fifth race at 14h45
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the sixth race at 15h20

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
